School Council Trip

Our School Councillors had the opportunity to visit the Thurrock Council Offices and meet the Mayor of Thurrock, Cllr Susan Little. We arrived at the council offices and had the opportunity to visit her office where the children were able to ask questions and find out a little more about the Mayor. The children then went down into the council chambers where they participated in a debate around the pros and cons of wearing school uniform. The children shared their arguments for and against and the Mayor gave a decision on the debate. In the end the it was decided that uniform is important to know what school we belong to and so that we can feel part of our school community. The children had a fantastic time and represented their classes very well.
