World Book Day came to Corringham Primary School in a wonderful whirlwind of inspirational characters and magical books!

It has been a pleasure to see the whole school community engaging in the exciting world of books and as ever, parents, staff and children went above and beyond to mark the day. 

We began the day with a whole school assembly, where every class could show their costumes and each teacher shared their favourite books and the inspiration behind their own costumes. Then, in class, the children were given the opportunity to explore their books through a range of exciting activities, such as art and writing and also shared their own inspirations behind their book and costume choices. 

We hope that the day has inspired our children to pick up more books and maybe even aspire to be authors themselves.
